Freelance Copywriter & Teacher

I divide my time unequally between; copywriting, editing and proof reading for commercial clients; proof reading theses and dissertations; conducting reviews of existing websites for clients who want them as good as they can be in these trying times; teaching creative writing , tutoring commercial clients on business writing and public speaking and writing my own material. Occasionally I get to read a book. Sometimes I watch television too, but I prefer books because the pictures are much better.

I have, at one time or another, been an archaeologist, a dresser in a fashion show, an observer for the meteorological office, the administrator of a home for the visually impaired, a riding instructor, a soldier, the packaging manager for a leather goods company and an international playboy. One of these may not be true.

Having been in industry for many years, I decided to do what I should have been doing for a while and quit while my sanity was still largely intact. I now make my living as a freelance writer and teacher of creative writing (amongst other things). My strong points are patience, intelligence and diligence. My weak points are buying books I don’t strictly need, looking at clouds as a substitute for thinking and an over-fondness for good coffee.
